It started out as a simple two-baptism job, but then, that spirit took a hold…
You know how it is. You’ve travelled all the way with your bible group from Brazil, you’re staying in a rather beautiful little town on the Irish coast 5,326 miles from home, and you’ve just found a perfect little spot for a dose of religious dunking.
A perfect little spot called The Cove.
Naturally, when dealing with teenagers and religious fervour, the good spirit soon overtakes that initial plan, and once the official baptisms are over… well, it would be a waste not to baptize a few more souls whilst we’re down here. Especially if it puts you in direct contact with some fine forbidden fruit.
And so it was that The Cove turned into Galilea for an hour or two this afternoon.
So, Selah Church, take a bow. You certainly know how to make religion look fun. Which is some achievement in this day and age. And the fact that you only travelled out from Dublin doesn’t make us love you any less.
Always knew the water in Greystones was holy…
Staying at Coolnagreina for the weekend, you can find out more about Selah Church on their Facebook pagehere.
