have this week voted in a new planning framework for Greystones, Delgany and Kilcoole.
Those changes include rezoning 38 hectares of land for new residential development in two phases, the new housing delivery targets now higher in the updated guidelines. WCC claims there is more than enough zoned land to meet those new targets.
The current County Development Plan for this area aimed for 1,953 units from 2016 to 2013, with CSO figures revealing that this target has been exceeded by around 10% already, with 2,143 units built by the end of 2024.
