here were plenty of thrills – and chills – on the South Beach this morning as a large group of very hardy and hearty men plunged into The Irish Sea.

With not even a sock between them.

Yep, this morning’s Dip In The Nip proved a major hit once again, with everyone there very happy indeed to go butt naked for the mighty Wicklow Hospice.

“Well done to all the men who took part,” says Allison Ryder, fundraising, events and campaigns coordinator at Wicklow Hospice. “They were amazing!

“And they raised so much money for Wicklow Hospice too – over €10,000!”

Ms Ryder also gave thanks and praise to Greystones and Wicklow coast guards along with Wicklow Civil Defence and lifeguards Kai, JJ and Dave. Plus, of course, all the fine people from the Wicklow Volunteer Centre.

Everyone gave up their Sunday morning for a very worthy cause, and, let’s be honest, a major giggle. And jiggle.
