The Greystones Arts Centre Initiative is an exciting project founded by a group of local, diverse artists, writers and musicians, acutely aware of the lack of a dedicated, creative centre in the area.

Their goal is to establish a multifunctional venue that provides a cultural hub for all ages in this fast-growing community.

The Greystones Arts Centre will:

⦿ Offer studio, workshop and exhibition space
⦿ Provide a venue for literary and music events
⦿ Benefit local businesses
⦿ Promote a positive sense of well-being while reinforcing our sense of community

The Greystones Arts Centre committee are Frances Browner (chair), Jonathan Taylor (secretary-treasurer), Angelika Bender, Catherine Boland, Jack Clarke, Orla Finn, Mary A Kelly, Deirdre McKernan Crosby and Emma Jane Rushworth.

Meanwhile the group is hosting events in and around Greystones, such as their first popular series Conversation with an Artist, which launched to full houses in 2025 at Greystones Library. This is a free series of lively, monthly talks with local artists: writers, poets, sculptors, painters, photographers, illustrators and more. You can hear their stories, ask questions and discover their inspirations. Places are limited, so come early.

The next Chinwag With An Artist is on Tuesday, April 7th, 4pm to 5pm, and features visual artist Nicky Kruseman alongside poet and self-described mystic Rachael Ball.
