It’s Such A Perfect Day…

Well, just when we were looking for a feelgood story to counter all this Covid-19 murmuring, a dang groovy video lands on GG’s doorstep.

The idea behind it, it turns out, was to get a bunch of Temple Carrig students and teachers to come together today for a catch-up.

And, of course, a great, big, Zoom-connected singalong.

Taking on Lou Reed’s iconic Perfect Day, and giving the lyrics a new twist, the video is introduced by the line, ‘Templecarrig School Greystones presents a Message Of Love‘.

And there’s plenty of that crazy little thing on display over the following three minutes. There’s also, you should know, the occasional wonky warble worthy of the great Pierce Brosnan in Mamma Mia.

Heck, we’d love this video purely because someone managed to get the school principal, Alan Cox, on camera. Singing. This is a truly historic day, people.
