“The name’s Lady, and, yep, I’m lucky. Very, very lucky.
“Hadn’t got the greatest start in life – ended up with someone who just shouldn’t have dogs. Or kids. Or friends. Finally ended up in the ISPCA rescue centre in Longford, and that’s when Lady finally got lucky – I met Mary here.
“Took me home to Greystones, and if it took me a while to get used to kindness and love, it was well worth it. Was a time when the hoover would make me run upstairs. Or someone simply lifting their foot would make me wince. But a huge dose of TLC has sorted all that out.
“And now, I have to pinch myself, as I run amok through Kindlestown Wood, or Mary and I take another long, easy stroll around this wonderful town.
