atest press release from St David’s no.1 speed freaks, Red Kite
Racing, issued on Tuesday, Sept 30th 2025…
The St. David’s Holy Faith STEM Racing team, Red Kite Racing, have touched down in Singapore and are already making waves at the World Finals!
After months of hard work, this fantastic team of six students has successfully completed their verbal presentations, smashed through scrutineering and kicked off with a thrilling first day of racing on the iconic Sentosa Island.
From Wicklow to the world stage, the Red Kite Racing are proudly flying the Irish flag at the Aramco STEM Racing World Finals in the ultimate test of STEM engineering and business.
The action doesn’t stop at the racetrack! Over the coming days, the team will face a series of high-pressure engineering and enterprise interviews, proving their skills not only in speed and design, but also in the business brains behind F1 in Schools.
A huge thank you goes out to the incredible sponsors who made this journey possible:
James Street Steel (Sean Kavanagh), NFER (Jeff Doyle), Just Eat (Amanda Roche), Industrial Packaging Bray, Ross Glen Construction (David Timlin), Spirit Ford (John O Brien), Glen Fuels, Mooney’s Hyundai, Yuroba Engineering Ltd (Damien Owen’s), University of Limerick, 3D Printing UK, Simscale, Myonic Bearings, and Fiona Roche Pharmacy.
Special thanks also to the Engineering Department at UCD and to everyone who donated via GoFundMe and personal contributions – including past and present staff members.
Red Kite Racing are ready to soar – and proud and honoured to race for Ireland on the world stage!
