It goes without saying that when it comes to
getting your photo taken, photographers tend to be one of the shyest subjects around.
Which makes the Bray Camera
Club exhibition launch at Signal Arts Centre last night such an intriguing gathering.
How can a room full of snappers avoid being snapped? Well, the answer is, they can’t, especially when you’ve got such snap-happy chappies as John
McGowan and Gerry Kelly in the room.
Like a hall of tiny mirrors, photographers taking photographs of photographers results in some very happy and surprised faces, delighted and excited about being on the other side of the lens for a change.
Running until Sunday, January 19th, you can check out all
these fine photographers’ works at Bray’s Signal Arts Centre, just as the south end of Albert Walk.
You can also check out the full gallery of Gerry Kelly’s shots here – once you’ve indulged in young McGowan’s shots right here on the Guide, of course.
