Who’s Delgany’s Lucky Lotto Winner?

t is, of course, wonderful to hear of someone’s very good fortune when it comes to something as unpredictable and downright arbitrary as the Lotto.

Once that someone who’s suddenly stinking rich doesn’t live right next door to you, of course.

That would be unbearable. All that glitter, all that gloating.

It was on Thursday that someone bought a EuroMillions ticket at Cuddihy’s Centra in Delgany, and they are now €134,388 better off.

The jammy feck.

On the plus side, our lucky punter was just one number off the mega €52,448,887.

So, that’s some comfort.

The winner matched 5 numbers, and one lucky star, in Friday’s lotto draw. The numbers drawn were 20, 27, 35, 39 and 48, with the lucky stars 3 and 8.
