ronically, it was called The Blind Lane by locals before someone on Delgany Tidy Towns had the bright idea of building a few houses for the fairies that lived along this ancient trail.

And pretty soon after, this quiet link between Priory Road and Blackberry Lane became a favourite destination for families from near and far.

Still, life on a dirt track – especially when it comes to our wonderful Irish weather – can result in a lot of wear agus tear. And tears.

And some of those more exposed fairy houses were beginning to look fairly non-magical of late.

Which is where Ukrainian local Muslim Dervishev has stepped in.

Unveiled this week, the talented lad has given three of the houses on the fairy trail a whole new lease of life. And a whole new lick of paint, splash of jewels and sprinkle of decorations.

“Who needs Dermot Bannon!” says Delgany Tidy Towns veteran Sheena Gogarty. “The houses look incredible, and have brightened up the Fairy Trail considerably. Our heartfelt thanks for this amazing transformation…” Noice.
