Zero Waste Greystones Is Back

From the very first, the Zero Waste Greystones Facebook page has proven hugely popular.

Formerly loved items find a new home, and a whole new wave of love, and, yep, both parties are richer in soul if not pocket.

With the slow, cautious lifting of Covid-19 restrictions having begun, Zero Waste Greystones ringleader Gemma Kinsella has now re-opened the site.

With, of course, those still-necessary restrictions in place…

New guidelines are as follows…
No traveling outside the 5 km zones.
Anyone cacooning for age or medical reasons should not collect items.
No face to face meeting – all items to be left at an agreed place for collection…

All items to be cleaned/disinfected after collection or left in a place outside the home for 72 hours, thus giving any possible viral issues time to clear.
As with Government guidelines, should the virus start a second wave of infections, the page will also again take a step back and re-close for everyone’s health and safety.

Anyone self-isolationg because they or a family member are showing symptoms of Covid-19 should not offer items for collection.
