To answer your last question, the Delgany – Greystones Greenway has been shelved, and the Glen Road from Barrys Bridge remains very hazardous for cyclists. It never gained a whole lot of support from local people, or from politicians, or from the WCC local area engineer. These kind of ideas need traction and or political support to succeed. However the feasibility study was completed, and was positive. Maybe some day it could be constructed to link up with this more recently proposed coastal route, at a T-junction.

I remember he published a photo of himself on a bike down by the Three Trout Stream, while declaring his wholehearted support for the plan. I think that was about it.
